This is the same Coco Coir we use in our substrate products. We get ours from a local vendor on the island here in PR. Each brick has been prewashed ensuring a quality and consistent product. Coco has a porous structure which enables good exchange of air and water supply. It also has excellent water absorption which helps your cake retain moisture through the process. Coco contains traces of Magnesium, Calcium, and Nitrogen which contribute to mushroom growth. After proper hydrating, this brick will yield over 15 gallons of quality coco coir and expands up to 8X its size.
